  34. You must first Remove your old modem in the Control Panel.  Copy the INF
  35. file to \WINDOWS\INF.  Then Add the modem back in the Control Panel, and you
  36. should see it properly auto-detected.  You will then have to select the new
  37. name in DUN and other comm apps.
